Tee-off for ChaseHealth

NEW BERLIN - For the past 80 years Chase has been a part of the New Berlin Community, first as a rural hospital and for the last 45 years a skilled and rehabilitation center up on the hill known as ChaseHealth. ChaseHealth is also the first nursing home in the nation to bring animals, plants, and children into the skilled setting in 1992, known nationwide as “The Eden Project” currently known as ChaseHealth Life Focus.
Being the only not for profit independent skilled nursing home in a three county area there are times when we ask for the community’s assistance as funds can be difficult to come by for the “extras” such as comfortable noninstitutionalized furniture, recreational and leisure opportunities, computers for residents to use to maintain contact with their family members who live a distance, televisions, etc.
To bridge the gaps ChaseHealth is sponsoring a Benefit Golf Tournament at the Red Pines Golf Course in Edmeston, NY on September 18th with tee-off time a 9:30am. The golf teams will consist of Captain and Crew ($55.00 per golfer/$220.00 per team), entry fee will include 18 holes of golf with a cart; hamburger or hotdog meal at the turn, Bar-b-Que chicken dinner at the end, entry into numerous door prizes, and the opportunity to participate in a basket raffle while at the same time benefiting the lives of seniors.
Per the organizers (who happen to be ChaseHealth employees volunteering their time), opportunities for businesses to showcase their product by sponsoring a tee hole at $50.00 is available. Or if you prefer a corporate sponsorship at $500.00 would include all of the above plus many other extras to showcase your contribution towards this event.
“Being a small facility it is important that fundraisers such as this are supported by our community at large. For without the community and their commitment as well as the staff members, and their family members to this facility, we would not be here 80 years later serving the community” stated Heather Anderson, Director of Social Services, Marketing, and Admissions. “Those that decided to make their home here, temporary or permanent are here to live not to die and ChaseHealth life focus is still a major part of this. We are so honored and thankful by those that decided to live here as they and their family members could have picked another location. Their decision I know is thanks to the community in which we live in, a small yet extended family unit. Many of the staff members come from this community and know more than a few residents who reside here as they too are from this community.”
The event is sure to be a wonderful day for all offering opportunities to make new connections, nurture community involvement, while at the same time benefitting a very worthy organization. Call Heather Anderson at (607)847-7005 to get involved today.
