Hancock blast UV on the greens

HANCOCK – The Wildcats of Hancock hosted a varsity golf matchup against Unadilla Valley on Thursday, August 25, in what proved to be a one-sided matchup against the young UV squad.
Hancock would dominate the greens when they won as a team with a low score of 266 to UV's 334. The matchup, which was played at French Woods Golf and Country Club, was played on the back nine holes where it is a par 36.
The low score on the day, and medalist for Hancock was Seth Simmons who notched a 43 on the day. Simmons was followed by teammates Matt Karcher with a 50, Mason Karcher with a 54, Josiah Simmons with a 57, with the throwout score being a 62 on Hancocks side.
For The Storm of UV, their medalist on the day was Andrew Jackson who recorded a 53. Jackson was followed by Brandon Kneel at 56, Sam Loeffler at 59, Shontel Loomis at 78, and the throwout score for UV was an 88, recorded by Gavin Church.
Hancock (1-1) will now move to face off against Greene on Monday, August 29., while UV (0-2) will be squaring off on the greens against Bainbridge-Guilford.
