One person seriously injured after MVA in Greene

GREENE – One person remains hospitalized in serious condition Thursday following a motor vehicle accident that took place at the intersection of State Highway 12, and Boeltz Ave., in the Town of Greene.
The accident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night, Aug. 31. The New York State Police, along with the Greene Police Department attended the scene.
There were two vehicles involved in the accident, a 2015 Lincoln MKX and a 2011 Ford Escape. It was reported that a head-on collision occurred between the vehicles after the Ford Escape veered into the opposite lane.
Two individuals, one from each vehicle, had to be extracted. Both individuals were subsequently transported to Wilson Hospital, in Binghamton, for treatment.
The driver of the Ford Escape was arrested for DWI, but an arrest report has not yet been compiled by the NYSP, as the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
