S-E field hockey falls to Little Falls
SHERBURNE - The Marauder field hockey team fell victim to Little Falls on Thursday evening in a 7-0 loss.
Little Falls jumped ahead to a 6-0 halftime lead and Sherburne-Earlville was ultimately unable to match their offensive productivity.
“It was a tough team to kick-off the season against, our very young team against a very strong Little Falls team,” said S-E head coach Sheila Cooman. “We did many good things that unfortunately didn’t result in scoring, but will pay off as the season continues.”
Little Falls was led by Morgan Slabe and Izzy Battisti, who together combined for five goals and two assists. Sherburne-Earlville’s Lexie Jordan had nine saves on the day.
The Marauder’s next game will be next Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Clinton.
