Undefeated Sidney shows no mercy on the Storm

SIDNEY – The young Unadilla Valley golf squad traveled to the Sidney Country Club on Wednesday, Sept. 13, for a matchup with the undefeated Sidney Warriors.
The match would heavily go in favor of Sidney, when Sidney took full advantage of their home course, where the two teams played the front nine holes with a par of 36.
Sidney would dominate the team standings winning at 199 to UV's 343 stroke mark.
The low of the day and Sidney medalist would go to Justin McMillan at 38. Kyle Smith of Sidney would follow McMillan at 39, then Trevor Dutton also at 39, Steven Smith at 41, and Trenton Stillman at 42.
For the Storm of UV, they would struggle on the par 36 course as their medalist and team low score would see a tie for the spot between Sam Loeffler and Brandan Kneale, who both recorded a 57. Andrew Jackson would follow with his 59 stroke performance, then Gavin Church at 52, and Drew Emrich at 85.
Next up for Unadilla Valley (1-6) they faced off against Hancock at Red Pine Golf Course on Sept. 14, while Sidney (8-0) will host Oxford on at Sidney Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 15.
