Tornado girls soccer drops two games leading up to senior night
NORWICH – The Norwich varsity girls soccer team would earn a rest this past weekend following a tough fought game against the Saints of Seton Catholic on Saturday, Sept. 17.
Seton would put Norwich's Saige Benedict to work as they rained 38 shots at the Norwich goalkeeper. Benedict would save 19 of the shots, however, the Tornado offense was nonexistent for the entire game recording no shots on the Seton goal.
Scoring for Seton was Emily Purtell (unassisted), Kristen Fischer (assisted by Daniella Ricci), and Kristen Fischer (assisted by Serena Gay).
However, the short break following the 3-0 loss to Seton would be just that, short-lived, as Norwich would turn right round for a home matchup against rival Oneonta on Monday, Sept. 19.
