Bobcats defend their home against the Storm

UNATEGO – The Bobcats pounced early on their opponents on Monday, Sept. 20, as they scored two first half goals in the matchup with Unatego, claiming the win at 2-0.
Aiden Nolan and Trevor Halaquist would each enjoy one goal and one assist apiece as the pair worked well together to outmaneuver the Unatego defenders in the first half.
“In the first half we were on the offense a lot, second half was a little tighter,” said Bainbridge-Guilford head coach Peter Feltham.
The second half would end in a stalemate as neither squad managed to net a goal, ending the game at 2-0 in favor of the visiting Bobcats.
“I am happy with the results and happy with their (BG's) efforts,” said coach Feltham.
As coach Feltham had alluded to the offensive prowess of BG would prove evident as they successfully outshot Unatego 18 to five, while BG also secured three corners to Unatego's four.
In the net for the win, Sean Jones of BG would save five, while Noah Blake of Unatego would have a busy day with 15 saves to his name.
Next up for Bainbridge-Guilford (4-0-1 league, 5-2-1 overall) they will travel to Walton on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
“They’re (Walton) always tough, especially at home. It'll be a test for us,” said coach Feltham.
