Blackhawks defeat Unadilla Valley on their home course

EDMESTON – The Unadilla Valley varsity golf team held a home matchup against fellow Chenango County opponent Oxford on Friday, Sept. 16.
The inter-county matchup saw the two young squads tee-off on the greens of Red Pine Golf Course, a par 36 course on the back nine holes, where the Blackhawks would eventually edge the Storm by 20 strokes for the win, propelling them back to an even .500 record as of the match date.
Oxford would see Austin Crawford earn the medalist spot for them with his outing of a 45, followed by Dylan Depew at 47, Jason Davis at 49, Garrett Depew at 52, and Jacob Marrone at 53 for a team total of 247.
On the UV side, Sam Loeffler and Andrew Jackson would tie for their medalist position with strokes of 47. UV would then see Brandan Kneale emerge in the third spot with 53 stroke day, followed by Gavin Church at 48, and Drew Emrich at 63 for a team total of 267.
Next up for Oxford (5-5) they would host Harpursville at Blue Stone Golf Course on Monday, Sept. 19. While Unadilla Valley (1-5) traveled to Bainbridge-Guilford on Monday, Sept. 19.
