Lady Storm continue to dominate the court
UNADILLA – Following their astonishing 3-2 win on Tuesday, Sept. 20, when Unadilla Valley would rally to defeat Unatego at 3-2. The girls have returned to the court just one day later, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, where they once again earned the win.
Unlike the Unatego win on Tuesday, UV would easily topple the visiting Warriors, as Sidney failed to claim a set win or even top 17-points in the match once.
UV would move to 5-0 on the season, a perfect unblemished record, after downing Sidney 3-0.
Each set would result in a very similar fashion for Unadilla Valley as they would take the first set at 25-17, followed by the second at 25-17. The lady Storm would complete the sweep with an even more dominating 25-15 third set win.
In the win for UV, it was Keana Schrag and Megan Carpenter who would standout amongst their teammates, each earning double digits in the stats column. Schrag would employ her quick reaction time to ensure she tallied up 11 digs for UV, while Carpenter would enjoy more of an offensive minded game with five kills and 10 assists.
Following Schrag and Carpenter was Sara Nogaret and Erin Kelly who each had four aces, Gina DelSontro, and Macie Franklin each with four kills. While Bailey Miller and Delsontro would tack on a block a piece as well.
Unadilla Valley (5-0 overall) will have a one day rest period to regroup before they once again treat their hometown crowd to a showdown on Friday, Sept. 23., with another tantalizing game, this time against Deposit. The game is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
