CCSO: Suspicious death in Town of Oxford; authorities ask for public’s assistance
OXFORD – The Chenango County Sheriff's Office is investigating what they have deemed a suspicious death after receiving report of a deceased male at 2:55 p.m. Monday.
The report indicated that the deceased 58-year-old male, David Green, was located at 221 Charles Kelly Road in the Town of Oxford.
Authorities said the victim resides at the above address, and responding officers found him inside the home.
The CCSO is being assisted by the New York State Police.
Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr. said, "The decedent was transported to Onondaga Medical for autopsy later today."
The investigation is continuing and more information will be released when it is made available.
The CCSO is asking anyone with information to call 334-2000, option 1, or 337-1935.
