Double OT loss for Tornado boys soccer

NORWICH – The Norwich varsity boys soccer team – a young and winless squad in the STAC league – did not play as if they were so. On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Windsor Black Knights came to Norwich for a matchup that would extend all the way to double overtime.

“They all played, they gave everything they could. It was just an unfortunate bounce,” said Norwich head coach Scottie Decker.

In a contest that would see Windsor outshoot Norwich 16 to seven, Norwich's defense would ensure the game remain in reach.

Down 1-0 at the half Norwich would not suffer any slump in their game. Following the half Norwich would tie the game 1-1, a score that would remain there for the remainder of regular time.

After a scoreless first overtime period, Norwich would battle with the Black Knights all the way down to :30 seconds left in the second overtime.
