Walton downs lady Trojans

GREENE – The Greene Trojans varsity girls soccer team fell victim to a powerful Walton attack on Monday, Sept. 26, losing 3-0.
After a young Greene team battled to just a 1-0 deficit at the half, things looked to be in line for a possible resurgence from the lady trojans in the second half.
However, the Walton offense that produced 11 shots on goal to Greene's eight would tell the tale differently when then saw two additional goals find the back of the net for a Walton win.
Scoring in the first half for Walton was Chelsea Smith; while in the second half Olivia Harvy, and Madison Grautman would find the net.
“We played a pretty decent game,” said Greene head coach Irene DeJager.
Up next for the Greene girls was Oxford on Wednesday, Sept. 28, as the Blackhawks traveled down route 12 for a matchup on George G. Raymond turf field. This game will be reported when information is made available.
