Bulldogs handle Bobcats for the win on the road

BAINBRIDGE – The Delhi Bulldogs came to visit the Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford in a varsity boys soccer matchup that ended very one-sided with a Delhi 4-0 win.
Down just 2-0 at the half, B-G failed to manage much offense in the game with only five shots on goal and two corner kicks.
This lack of offense led to a 2-0 first half, followed by a 2-0 second half in favor of the visiting Bulldogs. This scoring came off of 14 shots on goal and five corners for Delhi.
Nate Moon of Delhi recorded a hat-trick on the day, while Paul Avila added on a goal of his own – each strike was unassisted.
In the loss for B-G their keeper was kept busy making 11 saves in the contest, while Delhi's goalkeeper, Chris Hillis saved six on the day.
Following the loss, B-G (7-3-1 overall, 6-1-1 league) will next travel to Afton to play the combined team of Harpursville-Afton one Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 4:30 p.m.
