Lady Storm win on senior night
NEW BERLIN – The lady Storm celebrated their senior night with a 3-0 shutout win over the visiting Sidney Warriors.
The matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 4, got underway following a ceremony to honor UVs three graduating seniors: Abbie Oglesby, Maggie Fernette, and Samantha Ferguson.
The win for UV featured two goals from Cearah DaCostaFaro, a goal from Shelby Meade and an assist from Kyleigh George. With the offense clicking for UV they secured two corner kicks as well, while goalkeeper, Abbie Oglesby, held the Warriors to a shutout with her five saves.
Sidney saw their keeper Crystal Bivar notch seven saves on the day.
“The game was a great game,” said UV head coach Diane Hayes.
Up next for Unadilla Valley, they will play in the MAC Crossover tournament Wednesday, Oct. 12, starting at 4:30 p.m.
