Catholic Charities to host ‘Mummy-Son’ event Friday

NORWICH – ‘Mummys' and sons, prepare for a Halloween themed event where all proceeds will benefit the Roots and Wings food pantry in Norwich.
The event is set to take place Friday, Oct. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Bartholomew’s Parish Center.
Admission to the event is $10 per adult, and children can attend at no charge.
Mothers – Mummys – and children are not required to dress in costume or formal attire for the event, but there will be a costume contest for those who opt to dress in costume.
Even infant sons are welcome to attend to join in the pre-Halloween fun.
On the Facebook page for the festivities, it was asked if events could be expanded to be mother-daughter events, as it’s not uncommon to see father-daughter, mother-son events.
A representative from Catholic Charities of Chenango County said the suggestions will be taken under consideration, and that, “A parent-child event sounds great.”
It was also said that tickets are not necessary, and payment for the adults wishing to attend can be made at the door.
The Mummy Son event is hosted by Catholic Charities of Chenango County, and anyone seeking further information can call 334-8244, extension 221.
