Trojans falter in MAC Championship

GREENE – In a much anticipated matchup, the Greene Trojans matched up against the Bulldogs of Delaware Academy.
This rematch of the 2015 MAC Championship ended much as it did last year, Delhi pulled it's lead to 2-0 on the backs of two unassisted goals from Nate Moon and Jasper Koota.
However, despite the final score, the matchup remained tight with Greene managing nine shots on goal and four corners, to Delhi's nine shots and one corner.
In net for both teams, their goalkeeper's would keep pace with each other each recorded five saves on the day – Ryan Lohsen of Greene and Ben Arehart of Delhi.
With the devastating loss to Delhi – two years in a row – Greene completes their 2016 regular season with an overall record of 10-5-1, and will now await their first game in the sectional playoffs.
Greene will host Spencer-Van Etten-Candor next Friday, Oct. 21, for the first round of the post-season.
