The Bobcats savior: Sean Jones helps earn 5-4 win on penalty kicks

BINGHAMTON – The Bainbridge-Guilford boys soccer team had a stellar game when faced with third seeded Seton Catholic, winning 4-3 in penalty kicks.

It was Sean Jones who came out of the goal – following a scoreless regulation period and a scoreless extra-time – to score the winning strike, before returning to the net to make a crucial save to lift the Bobcats over the Saints on Oct. 21.

“It was wet, sloppy, soggy just a nasty day to be playing soccer,” said Bainbridge-Guilford head coach Peter Feltham.

Feltham explained that the two squads were paired evenly through much of the contest as the 0-0 score at the end of regulation indicates.
