Two field hockey players on 2016 Division III senior game roster
HAMILTON – Hamilton College's Eva Rosencrans '17 (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich Academy) and Emma Anderson '17 (Greene, N.Y./Greene Central School) have been selected for the 2016 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game roster.
The game will be held at William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y., on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. Sixty participants and 12 alternates have been chosen by the NFHCA. If any student-athletes identified as participants are unable to compete, an alternate will take their place. Rosencrans and Anderson are both participants.
Rosencrans leads the team with 14 goals and also has five assists for 33 points. She is the program's all-time leader with 51 goals and is second on the career list with 115 points. Rosencrans was an NFHCA second team all-American last year and has been on the all-region team three times.
Anderson has three goals and four assists for 10 points, and has inserted the ball on nearly every penalty corner this year. The midfielder has posted seven goals and nine assists in her Hamilton career. She has started every single one of the Continentals' 62 games in four years. Anderson is a three-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
Nationally ranked No. 11 Hamilton (12-4 overall) is the third seed in the 2016 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship and takes on the fourth-seeded Middlebury College Panthers in a semifinal at Tufts University on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. The Continentals have won seven straight games and 11 of their last 12.
