S-E student to march in Macy's Day Parade

SHERBURNE – Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on T.V. is a tradition for many Americans, but for Sherburne-Earlville junior Kyle Cole the parade has taken on a much more personal meaning.

Cole has been summoned this year to march as part of the Macy's Great American Band as he and hundreds of other students from all 50 states will contribute to the lore of the highly regarded parade.

Cole has played saxophone for seven years, and his ability landed him a spot in the Macy's Great American Band last year as well.

“The experience was tiring because it's a long day but it's also really cool,” said Cole. “It felt like it went fast last year. There was so many people cheering, it was exciting.”
