NHS students clean up Norwich

NORWICH – Students from the Norwich High School have been working with NHS At-Risk coordinator Rhett Genung after school on a variety of city community service projects. Recently these students picked up large amounts of trash off the railroad tracks that run through the city. During the course of three Wednesday afternoons these NHS students removed trash from the Canasawacta Creek Black Bridge all the way to Weiler Park at the North end of Norwich. All together these students collected 12 large bags of garbage from this mile and a half section of railroad.

“My students worked incredibly hard on this cleanup project and I am extremely pround of their efforts,” said Rhett Genung, At-Risk Coordinator at NHS.
