Chenango County Highway Superintendents support Toys for Tots

GREENE- On Thursday, Dec. 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Chenango County Highway Superintendents hosted its annual Christmas fundraising event for Toys for Tots.

This year the Chenango County Toys for Tots coordinator, Terry Potter and other volunteers are estimating that at least 2,000 children in our community will benefit from this organization. The amount of toys that were donated last Thursday from the Chenango County Highway Superintendents is only a small portion of the overall donations that will be dispersed to local children in Chenango County.

The toys that are donated range from kitchen tea sets, barbie dolls, trucks, legos, rc cars, scooters, fishing poles, and stocking stuffers are for children between the ages of 1-12. The Toys for Toots gives each child two toys but also gives the family either a puzzle or a board game and a book.
