OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks varsity wrestling team fell victim to the Warriors of Sidney on Thursday evening when Sidney powered their way to a 45-21 win.

Oxford enjoyed two true wins on the night – while managing to maneuver their weight classes to earn two additional forfeits.

Oxford's Brenden Gager would be bumped up to the 145 pound weight class for the duel meet, where he would let weight not be an issue – dominating Reed Scott of Sidney. Gager – coming off his win at the Clyde Cole Tournament this past weekend – earned the major decision for the Blackhawks with a win at 10-2.
