NORWICH- An iconic holiday tradition of “ringing the bell” for The Salvation Army is making its way through Chenango County. Kettle Coordinator Peggy Asma and coworker Jennifer Price, volunteered their time to “ringing the bell” in efforts to raise money that will benefit our community.
The Red Kettle Coordinators, Matt and Peggy Asma would like to encourage everyone to make a difference for the lives of others. Family’s with small children or single participants are welcome to volunteer, choosing any hours between 9-8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Salvation Army kettles are located inside of Tops, and outside of Walmart and Price Chopper in Norwich. Matt and Peggy have said they already reached half of their goal of $10,000. All proceeds that are collected will placed into an NBT account until it can benefit a family in need from Chenango County.
