NORWICH – The Owego Indians found themselves in a rough loss to Norwich when their varsity wrestling team ventured North to take on the Purple Tornado, only to lose 55-15.

The one-sided matchup on Dec. 14, gave way to 11 Norwich wrestlers getting their hand raised following wins.

“It was a nice bounce back win for us from a long weekend. The guys looked fresh and wrestled really well,” said Norwich head coach Bob Hagenbuch.

The Tornado wrestlers are coming off weekend of wrestling, where they traveled North to Gouveneur for the Gouveneur Duals – where they faced off against some of the top dual meet teams, going 3-2 on the day.
