Chenango County Health Department reports flu spike in the area

CHENANGO COUNTY – Influenza activity is rapidly increasing in the Chenango County area, according to the Chenango County Health Department.

As of February 14, 2017 there have been a total of 143 confirmed reports of flu in Chenango County.

The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months and older.

Per a release from the Chenango County Health Department, “A flu vaccine is the best way to protect against this potentially serious disease. It is not too late to protect yourself and your loved ones by getting your flu shot.”
