SACKETS HARBOR – There was to be no upset celebrations for the 10th seeded Otselic Valley girl’s varsity basketball team last Friday, Feb. 17, as they were trounced by the seventh-seed Sackets Harbor on a final score of 83-28.

The Vikings started off the game strong, but their defensive flaws were clear from the beginning. OV scored nine in the first quarter, but gave up 16 on the other end of the court.

The second quarter boded much worse for the Vikings. Sackets Harbor managed to exploit the OV defense for 26 points. The Viking offense was also held to just four points, as they went into the interval down by a 29-point margin.
