NHS invites community to tonight's event: 'Shawna has a Secret'

NORWICH – Norwich High School will host an interactive anti-drug presentation tonight, April 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – and you're invited.

‘Shawna has a Secret’ is an interactive program by Leatherstocking Education on Alcoholism/Addictions Foundation (LEAF) which will allow community members to search through Shawna's bedroom to look for covert and overt signs of drug usage.

From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., community members will be able to look through Shawna's room during a soup, salad, and pizza dinner preceding the presentation.

At 6:30 p.m. LEAF Director Julie Dostal, PhD, LMHC, CPP will present some of the specific signs of drug use and abuse visible in Shawna's room, and what to do in your own experience if trouble is identified.

The program will take place at NHS tonight thanks to support from Fahy Funeral Home and Mike Wright.

The event is free and open to the public.
