ONEONTA – It was a rough day for the Norwich varsity baseball team yesterday, May 1, as they succumbed to Oneonta on a final score of 23-6.
The Tornado struggled to find their footing, giving up 13 runs to the yellow jackets in the first inning.
“They sent 17 guys to the plate in the first inning; you’re not going to win too many games like that,” said Norwich head coach Rich Turnbull following the loss. “We couldn’t get an out. They batted through the entire lineup. All nine guys scored.”
