SHERBURNE – A pair of ‘big men’ from the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders varsity football team have recently announced their college choices – as they look to extend their football career beyond high school.
Sam Tuttle, a two-year starter for Sherburne-Earlville – who began his prep career as a two-year player at Unadilla Valley – has elected to join Alfred University’s football program, where he will play along the offensive line.
Tuttle was the Marauders’ Offensive Player of the Year a season ago, becoming the first offensive lineman in more than a decade to win that distinction for S-E.
The 6’2” 265-pound Tuttle finished his Marauders career with 118 tackles, 20.5 tackles-for-a-loss and 4.5 sacks.
