Lend a hand to clean-up downtown Norwich this Saturday

NORWICH – The Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) will host its annual 'Main Street Sweep' this Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to noon.

All interested volunteers are welcome to meet at the East Park stage in Norwich at 9 a.m. sharp to organize the morning's clean-up.

Volunteers will be invited to pull weeds, pick-up trash and cigarette butts, sweep parking lots, as well as take part in other general clean-up duties of the main business district in downtown Norwich.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for service organizations, school and church groups, and other members of the community at-large to pitch-in and help spruce up our downtown before Memorial Day weekend to kick-off summer events," said Ann Coe, BID Administrator.

Norwich BID encourages anyone with interest to lend a hand.

Those who are interested in volunteering can contact the Norwich BID office at (607) 336-1811 for more information, but volunteers are welcome to simply show up on Saturday morning to play a part.
