Marauder Track and Field in Mid-State Athletic Conference league meet

SHERBURNE – For the S-E Marauder’s girls and boys track and field teams, Wednesday May 10, proved to be another successful day on the oval.
Both teams dominated their opposition as the boys scored 167.5 points, outlasting the second place team from New York Mills by 123.5 points. For the girls, they scored 100 points to claim a second place finish, falling by 16 points to the winners from New York Mills.
For the boys, the Marauder 4x800m relay team cruised to the victory in the event with a time of 10:06.5 minutes.
In the 110m hurdles, Rodriguez won the event with a time of 18.7 seconds. Rodriguez also won the 400m high hurdles in a time of 65.3 seconds.
S-E’s Giglio won the 100m dash with a time of 12.3 seconds. The domination in the sprints continued as the S-E 4x100m relay team beat out the team from Cincinnatus by one second as the Marauders sped in with a time of 50.8 seconds.
Robertson won the 400m dash with a time of 56.8 seconds. Dubois won the 800m race with a time of 2:11.8 minutes. The S-E quartet in the 4x400m relay race sprinted to a time of 4:06.2 minutes.
S-E’s Karaman won the pole vault with a vault of 10’6”. Sam Tuttle won the discus event with a throw of 109’5”, Tuttle also won shot put with a 40’10”.
Zbydniewski won the Long Jump with a leap of 17’3.5”. To conclude the top scoring for the boys team, Doeberl won the Triple Jump, bounding for a distance of 34’7”.
On the girls’ side, S-E’s Furner claimed a win in the 1500m in a time of 5:44 minutes, as well as a win in the 3000m race in a time of 13:25.9 seconds.
Robertson sprinted to a time of 27.5 seconds for a victory in the 200m dash. The Marauder 4x100m team of K. Palmer, A. Palmer, Franklin and Robertson claimed the victory in the sprinting event to the tune of a 55.8 second finish.
In the Long Jump, S-E’s Turner leaped to a win of 12’8”. Niles won the High Jump event, with a height of 4’6”.
Next up for the Sherburne-Earlville Track and Field team, they will be traveling to Sauquoit Valley for the CSC DII and DIII event on Tuesday, May 16.
