Bainbridge man arrested with over 25 grams of marijuana

BAINBRIDGE – According to New York State Police, on May 31at approximately 9:10 p.m. Gasper N. Ciraola, 58, of Bainbridge was arrested for the misdemeanor of criminal possession of marijuana fifth degree and other traffic violations.

Ciraola’s arrest occurred after a traffic stop when a state trooper observed Ciraola driving a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on County Road 39 in the Town of Bainbridge.

“After stopping the vehicle it is alleged that an of odor of marihuana was detected inside," said NYS Police. "A full search of the vehicle found that Ciraola unlawfully possessed about 28 grams of marijuana."

Ciraola was arraigned in the Town of Bainbridge Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $2,500 property bond. His next court date is scheduled for June 27.
