Oxford fourth graders crowned national champions in online competition

OXFORD – On Thursday, May 25, the fourth grade classes of Oxford Primary School stayed behind after school to compete in an online mathematics competition offered by educational website www.sumdog.com.


31-fourth graders from Oxford stayed at the school until 8 p.m. on May 25 as they competed against 3,856 classes from across the country.


Through the students' hard work and wit, the Oxford fourth grade teams placed 129th, 108th, 3rd, and for the first time ever 1st place overall in the national competition.
