Public acquainted with Natoli at 'Coffee with the Candidate'
NORWICH – Members of the community met with Norwich-native and local attorney Steve Natoli on Saturday, June 10 to discuss his candidacy for Norwich City Court Judge.
'Coffee with the Candidate' afforded Natoli an opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors, both old and new, to discuss the race in a casual, friendly environment.
It's reported that the event drew people of all ages, from Little Leaguers to retirees, who enjoyed treats and coffee at Wild Owl Café. 'Coffee with the Candidate' also coincided with the first week that candidates for elected offices across the state were able to begin collecting signatures to be on the ballot in November.
“My family and I are grateful for the outpouring of support and friendship that we have received since I announced my candidacy for Norwich City Court Judge only two short months ago," said Natoli. "Having been raised in Norwich and now raising our own children here, I am committed to giving back to the community that has contributed so greatly to my own life.”
Speaking with members of the community, Natoli was able to discuss the role of Norwich City Court Judge and how he believes his legal experience makes him a worthy candidate.
Natoli shared with community members that while Norwich City Court handles criminal proceedings within the City of Norwich, it also presides over civil proceedings, landlord-tenant matters, small claims proceedings, and vehicle & traffic matters.
“Having run a full-time general practice law firm for the past eleven years, I have been fortunate to regularly appear in Norwich City Court along with other local courts," said Natoli. "I have represented many clients in criminal proceedings, as well as each area over which Norwich City Court presides, giving me the best and most well-rounded experience for the job.”
