Commerce Chenango announces Summer Golf Event winners

AFTON – Commerce Chenango and title sponsor C & M Construction are pleased to announce the winners of the 31st annual Summer Golf Event that was held at the Afton Golf Club on June 9.
The first Summer Golf Event was held in 1986 as a way of combining a great local sport with a fun and casual networking opportunity for Chamber members.
Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to participate in a variety of contests. Prizes were awarded for the putting contest, hole-in-one, longest drive, closest to the pin, Beer Golf Pong – for first, second, and third-place teams.
First-place honors were awarded to team CZ-USA with members Matt Jackson, Gordon Shields III, Andrew Hadlock and Jordan Price; second-place place went to Laral Management with team members Eric Larsen, Mike Flanagan, Craig Markham and Bob Adsit; and ending in a tie, third-place went to Team Achieve and NBT #1.
Playing for Achieve were Bob Brazill, Denny Mirabito, John Stevens and Clark Giblin, and NBT #1 members included Brendan Hannon, Dave Harris, Brent Miller and Ben Alexander.
Longest Drive prizes were awarded to Patty Cwynar and Jesse Wakeman, while Closest to the Pin went to Marlene Martin-Brown and Dave Ireland.
