NORWICH– The Bullthisle Hiking Club will be hosting a hiking presentation on Saturday, June 24 ay 9 a.m., in the community room at the Norwich YMCA.

During the presentation, President of the Bullthistle Hiking Club, Peg Fuller will give a short presentation on the basics of hiking, where are the best areas to explore, what appropriate gear and clothing to have on a hike. All attendees will also be given upcoming hike dates for a variety hikes sponsored by the Bullthistle Hiking Club.

Following the presentation an optional short hike will begin in the wodden area of Pharsalia. The hike car caravan will depart from the YMCA parking lot at approximately 10:15 a.m. The hike will be approximately 3 miles, with an easy route and the pace will be slow to accommodate all hikers.

You do not have to attend the presentation to attend the hike.The hike will be at a beginner level. Also it is important to bring water, a snack, and wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather.
