Jason Handy to perform piano recital this Saturday

NORWICH – Aspiring local pianist Jason Handy will perform a recital at the United Church of Christ (UCC) this Saturday, July 1 at 3 p.m.

A graduate of Norwich High School and former-pupil of Anita Humer, Handy is currently pursuing a degree in Piano Performance at SUNY Geneseo.

Handy is reportedly preparing to spend three weeks at the Adamant Music School in Vermont this summer to study piano, before he ventures off to spend a semester abroad this fall furthering his musical studies in Vienna, Austria.

Prior to his farewell, however, Handy will treat music aficionados to an afternoon of Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Haydn, Alberto Ginastera, Franz Liszt, and more.

All are invited to attend Saturday’s recital at the UCC located at 11 West Main Street in Norwich.
