Scoville-Meno invites public to participate in summer food drive
BAINBRIDGE – Scoville-Meno Chevrolet-GMC of Bainbridge has announced its participation in a summer food drive.
The Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships – including its locations in Owego, Oneonta, and Sidney – is calling on those who visit its dealerships to bring non-perishable food items for children in need this summer, particularly cereal, peanut butter, jelly, and juice boxes. Items obtained by Scoville-Meno will then be donated to local food pantries.
“Summer is a particularly difficult time for families––some of whom rely on school district meal programs to keep children fed,” said Scoville-Meno President, Stephen Scoville. “We felt we could reach out to those who might be visiting our stores for help in building up local food pantries in the communities we serve.”
Those who donate to the Scoville-Meno summer food drive will receive a voucher for a free car wash in return for their kindness.
The food drive will reportedly last through Labor Day.
The Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships includes four area dealerships: Scoville-Meno Auto Plaza in Owego, a GM dealership; Scoville-Meno Chevrolet-GMC, in Bainbridge; Scoville-Meno Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep in Sidney; and Scoville-Meno Honda in Oneonta.
