Craft your own birdhouse at Oxford Memorial Library tonight
OXFORD – Join the Oxford Memorial Library staff tonight, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. as they host a program where you can build your own bird house.
"The little feathered friends in our backyards are always looking for new places to set up housekeeping, so why not give them a reason to do so where you can enjoy their company?" said Jess Tefft of Oxford Memorial Library.
Sticking with its pledge to “Build A Better World,” it's reported by the library that all the provided supplies will be recycled materials.
If you are interested in attending and have any one-pound coffee cans you would like to bring in for the craft, the library reports it could always use more.
While there will be hammers and nails in use during this craft, there will also be some birdhouses pre-assembled for children to paint. The library asks that all attending children are accompanied by an adult to supervise them.
The Oxford Memorial Library also invites you to stop in to check out the educational displays set up around the library––not to mention weekly Wednesday Movies every Wednesday through the summer at 4 p.m., and Thursday Morning Story Times every Thursday at 10 a.m.
"There is always something fun and exciting happening at the Oxford Library. It’s a place for all ages to enjoy and explore," said Tefft.
For more information, call the library at (607) 843-6146, or you can check out the Oxford Memorial Library and Oxford Memorial Library Youth Services Facebook pages, or visit www.oxfordmemoriallibrary.org.
