CCC holds annual Greater Norwich Golf Hall of Fame Tournament

NORWICH – On Saturday July 15, the field of 54 golfers hit the links to compete for the annual Greater Norwich Golf Hall of Fame tournament title.
With various divisions such as the Men’s Open division, Men’s Senior Division, Women’s Division all at stake with the inclusion of best ball and skin scoring, as well as a closest to the pin competition – Saturday’s competitors certainly had their hands full.
By the time the dust had settled at the conclusion of the event, the linksters that raced to the top of leaderboard were as follows. In the Men’s Open Division Tom Muserilli and Dan Smith combined for a score of 69 for a second-place finish and the duo of Scott Seiler and Steve Upton placed first with a score of 67, taking home the top spot.
In the Men’s Senior Division, Ken Mirabito and Brad Hall took the first-place spot with a score of 69, while Mark Demellier and Hal Skillin won a scorecard playoff to place second, shooting a 71.
Over on the Women’s side, Krista Porter-Moore and Cathy Lounsberry shot an 80 to win the event, and Diane Lewis and Nancy Miller took second-place with a score of 86.
In the closest to the pin competition, Virginia Lee won the contest for the Women’s division with her drive on Hole 2. Larry Lewis won on the Men’s senior division with his drive on Hole 2, Bob Raimo won the Open Division with his drive on Hole 8, and David Branham won the Senior Division with his drive on Hole 12. J Raimo won the Open Division with his drive on Hole 14.
