Oxford’s Bluestone hosts annual Men’s Member-Guest golf Tournament

OXFORD – Over the course of the weekend for July 15 and 16, Oxford’s Bluestone golf course held its annual Men’s Member-Guest tournament. With the field of golfers divided into four separate divisions such as the Championship Flight, First Flight, Second Flight, and Third Flight, the race to be atop the leaderboard by the end of the two day event was a close one.
The contest was especially close in the First and Second flights as the eventual winners won by one and two strokes in each case respectively.
In the First flight, Brock Rowe and Aaron Clark squeaked out the victory by one- shooting a 144 with first runner-ups Mike Chrystie and Zach Stratton finishing with a score of 145. In the Second flight, Tim Paden and Mason Willis scored a 149 to claim their respective Second Flight title, with the dynamic duo of Larry and Lance Thorne finishing right behind Paden and Willis with a score of 151.
The additional champions for the Third Flight were Dave Burdick and George Cheesebro, who shot a combined score of 159. In the Championship Flight, Todd and Cory Seiler took first place honors with a score of 130, with Cory tying with fellow Championship Flight opponent Ryan Bishop for the lowest individual score on the weekend with a 62.
