County Board supports Behavioral Health Services expansion

NORWICH – The Chenango County Behavioral Health Services Center is getting support from the County Board of Supervisors to open a satellite location at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.


A resolution supporting the expansion of services was unanimously passed by County Board members on Monday.


State law had previously prohibited Behavioral Health from opening offices in a hospital setting; but recent changes to the law not only allows, but actually encourages such consolidated services.
