Norwich BOE appoints teaching staff
NORWICH – According to Norwich Board of Education Vice President Jennifer Collins, after the end of Wednesday's meeting's open session, the board was approached by Assistant Superintendent Dara Lewis, who asked if the board could expedite the approval of teachers so that she could move forward with scheduling orientation.
Collins says the board deliberated, decided to re-enter open session, and voted to approve teachers and staff.
“There will be no special BOE meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.,” said Collins. “Approval for winter coaching appointments will be made at the regular BOE meeting in September on Wednesday the 20th at 6 p.m.”
Collins says the discussion regarding the position of Interim High School principal remains ongoing at this time.
