Alexis Hamilton & Andrea Dempsey to perform at the Oxford Farmers' Market
OXFORD — On Saturday, August 19th, the beautiful young voices of Alexis Hamilton and Andrea Dempsey will brighten the Oxford Farmers’ Market as they sing everything from country music to pop music, from artists like Sugarland and Carrie Underwood, to music by Sam Smith and The Chainsmokers.
Alexis, who just graduated from Oxford High School, has been singing country music since the age of 2, and will be attending Eastern Tennessee State University in the fall, majoring in Country Music. She hopes for a successful career in country music and to possibly sing on the Grand Ole Opry stage one day.
Andrea enjoys singing pop and alternative music, or any music that speaks to her. Harmonizing with friends in her free time is her favorite activity. She is going into 11th grade at Oxford High School. When she graduates, she plans to go to Fredonia State University to major in Music Education or Early Childhood Education.
The Oxford Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday, 9 am to 12 noon through the end of September, in Lafayette Park, Route 12 in Oxford. Shoppers will find an abundance of fresh, local produce, chicken, dairy, baked goods, honey and syrup, staples for the kitchen, plant starts for flower and vegetable beds, hand-crafted items, locally-raised alpaca and wool products, and hand-made soaps.
All from neighbors you can meet, hands you can shake.
