UV shoots way to victory over Oxford

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley’s Kyleigh George scored at 9:39 in the first half as the Storm rolled to claim their first win in the season over Oxford on Wednesday, August 30.
Goalie Lexi Kohlhepp held strong and gave an amazing effort in the net for Oxford as she had 28 saves, allowing only three pass. 
The scoring for the Storm in the second half to extend their lead was done by Cearah DaCostafaro (12:33) and Julia Oglesby (30:51).
“We played a good game. Need to work on somethings but overall, not a bad start to the season,” said UV Head Coach Diane Hayes.
Unadilla Valley will be in action again on Friday, September 1 as they take on Delhi. Kick off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
The Blackhawks will face Bainbridge-Guilford at 4:30 on Friday, September 1.
