Jack Conant’s pair of goals leads VHCA over Finger Lakes

NORWICH – Valley Heights Christian Academy’s boys varsity soccer team hosted Finger Lakes Christian School on Friday, September 15, at Weiler Park’s Angelino Fields.

The boys from Finger Lakes dictated the pace early on as the Tigers moved their offensive attack into Crusader territory. However, the offensive success wouldn’t last as the Crusaders opened the field and began to push their offensive lines forward.

With 15 minutes into the contest, Crusader striker Alex Evans found an opening – sending a blast towards the Tiger net only for Evans’ shot to be turned away from goalkeeper Matt McDonald. Not to be out done, Jack Conant-VHCA’s talented eighth grade phenom collected the rebound striking it into the Tiger goal, giving the hometown team the 1-0 lead.
