Norwich Golf downed by a tough Sabers team

CONKLIN — Despite good play at Conklin Players Club, Norwich lost to a very tough divisional opponent in Susquehanna Valley Wednesday night.
Par was 36 for the nine holes the two teams played and Sabers Trevor Jones shot just two over par, taking the overall lowest score of the night for all golfers.
Norwich was led by Alex Gage, recording a solid 40 on the evening. Gage was followed by teammate A.J. Little as he finished with a 46.
Sus Valley had three of their top five golfers record of 42. The last spot was taken by Carter Gray shooting a 43, giving the Sabers a team score of 207.
The Tornado top five included of Connor Nial and Griffin Clipston, each swinging their way to a 50 on the scorecard and Kai Scheer closed with a 53.
Max Marson improved on his season scoring a personal best 56 as he also participated in the match.
Norwich faces off against Seton Catholic in a rescheduled match sleeted for Monday, September 25 at 4:30 p.m.
