All American BMX tackles two races; ‘Rapid Redline’ advances to expert level

NORWICH – Advancing to the highest level of competition for an amateur racer, Norwich’s All American BMX team happily announced that Vinny ‘Rapid Redline’ Lawson has been given his award on the accomplishment.
“Vinny received his 20th win today to go to the top skill at amateur level. He had been racing the intermediate level for about a year. Now, Rapid Redline will have train his little heart out. We have only a couple of weeks to prepare for NYS Finals at Shoreham BMX out on Long Island,” said coach Dave Lawson. “All American BMX Team has four riders qualified in the finals all in top ten points.”
Among the commotion of having a rider move up, the All American team raced in two races over this past weekend.
Saturday race results from CNY BMX:
• Ethan ‘Big Air’ Willis, second-place in 8 intermediate class
• Cameron ‘One Glove’ Carnachan, second-place in 8 novice class
• Vinny ‘Rapid Redline’ Lawson, first-place in 8 intermediate class
• Liam Ballin, fifth-place in 11 intermediate class
Sunday race results at Champion Speedway BMX:
• Coach Dave Lawson, third-place in 46 and over cruiser class
• Owen Wier, second-place in 14 expert class
• Vinny ‘Rapid Redline’ Lawson, first-place in 8 intermediate class
Currently, the All American BMX Team has four riders qualified in the finals, all in top ten points. The next race for the team will be at Grippen Park BMX this coming Friday night, September 22.
