NEW BERLIN – A powerful storm was brewing on Monday, as Unadilla Valley volleyball defended their home court for a 3-0 win over Greene.
Despite the 3-0 final score, it wasn’t all UV in the win – Greene battled in each and every set producing some competitive scores on September 25.
In the first set, the lady Storm jumped to the quick 1-0 lead with a big 25-18 win – that would be the greatest margin in the two teams scores.
The second set would go into extra points, with UV taking with at 26-24. Unadilla Valley snagged the final set with a 25-22 win.
For Greene, they were valiantly led by Makenzie Lawrence with five aces, and Kira bush with two aces. Unadilla Valley enjoyed a night where three players stood out – Erin Kelly with 11 aces, Sierra Schrag with four aces, and Jenna Hitt with two aces and four kills.
Next up for Unadilla Valley volleyball (3-1 overall), they will be traveling to play Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday, September 27, at 6:30 p.m. Greene will be hosting Oxford on Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m.
