Winning streak back to three for Unadilla Valley Golf
EDMESTON — Recording a 244 for the third straight match, Unadilla Valley’s powerful golf squad topped Oxford Tuesday evening.
Leading The Storm as the top medalist for the match was Andrew Jackson as he finished the nine holes at Red Pines with a 42.
Just one stroke off the leader, Jason Davis of Oxford scored a team-low 43.
Blackhawks’ youngster Christian Paden has been coming along throughout the season. Paden recorded a 64 to round out the top five for Oxford.
Teammate Jake Marrone shot a round of 47, while Garrett Depew and Zach Ford posted a 50 and 54, respectively.
The Storm’s Sam Loeffler fell four strokes behind teammate Jackson as he snagged the number two spot in the top five for Unadilla Valley. Brandon Kneale posted a 47 to the Storm’s scorecard.
Drew Emrich tallied a 54 on the evening and Gavin Church took home a score of 55 for the final spot of UV’s top five golfers of the evening.
The Storm take on Bainbridge-Guilford on Wednesday, September 27, for the nine holes of Red Pines at 4 p.m. This is the final regular season match for UV.
Oxford hosts Greene at Bluestone on Thursday, September 28, for the Blackhawks Senior night and subsequently their last match of the season as well. Teams will tee-off at 3:45 p.m.
